Great Britain 1936 Air Mail burnt cover to Australia.
Was on board Imperial Airways Armstrong Whitworth Athena (IA-GABTK) where the plane burnt out at New Delhi airport. Sent from Aylesbury to Double Bay. With a printed PO Notice with date altered. Tyke K.
The aircraft was warming up the engines for take-off on the morning of 29th September when the fire broke out. There were no injuries and the bulk of the mail was recovered.
