The return flight from Port Moresby to Salamaua was intended to take place on 23 March 1932 and covers were cancelled accordingly. The Junkers F.13L (Registration VH-UKW) had engine trouble and departure was delayed until 26 March. Pilot Orme Denny completed the flight the same day.
